ناسا: تأجيل مهمة رواد الفضاء الأمريكية إلى القمر حتى عام 2025

(رويترز) – قال بيل نيلسون مدير إدارة الطيران والفضاء الأمريكية (ناسا) يوم الثلاثاء إنها لن ترسل مهمة لرواد الفضاء إلى القمر قبل عام 2025 على أقرب تقدير، لتؤجل لمدة عام على الأقل الجدول الزمني الذي وُضع في عهد الرئيس الأمريكي السابق دونالد ترامب.

وقال نيلسون في مؤتمر عبر الهاتف “في تقديرنا لن تتم مهمة أرتيميس 3 قبل عام 2025”.

كان الرئيس الأمريكي جو بايدن قد عين نيلسون لقيادة ناسا التي تخطط لإرسال بشر إلى القمر لأول مرة منذ السبعينات.

ووافق بايدن على استمرار برنامج، يُعرف باسم أرتيميس، والذي بدأ في عهد ترامب لإرسال رواد فضاء إلى القمر بحلول عام 2024، بهدف التمهيد لرحلات مأهولة أكثر طموحا إلى كوكب المريخ في المستقبل.
