كوسوفو ترصد أول 9 إصابات بالمتحور أوميكرون

بريشتينا (رويترز) – قالت وزارة الصحة في كوسوفو يوم الأحد إنها سجلت أول تسع إصابات بالسلالة أوميكرون المتحورة من فيروس كورونا في الدولة الواقعة بمنطقة البلقان.

وأضافت الوزارة أن تسعة أشخاص تأكدت إصابتهم بالمتحور أوميكرون من بين 22 جاءت نتائج فحوصاتهم إيجابية لكوفيد-19 خلال الأيام العشرة الماضية.

وقالت الوزارة إن اثنين من بين التسعة جاءا من الولايات المتحدة واثنين من المملكة المتحدة وواحدا من فرنسا، وأربع حالات أخرى لمواطنين لم يسافروا خارج البلاد.

وأوضحت الوزارة أنه “من المتوقع أن يؤدي المتحور أوميكرون إلى تفاقم الوضع الوبائي في البلاد”.
