سلالة دلتا ترفع إصابات كورونا بأمريكا لأعلى مستوى في ستة أشهر

نيويورك (رويترز) – ارتفعت الإصابات بفيروس كورونا ومعدل دخول المستشفيات للعلاج منها في الولايات المتحدة إلى أعلى مستوى في ستة أشهر بسبب الانتشار السريع لسلالة دلتا المتحورة في أجزاء من البلاد ما زالت معدلات التطعيم فيها منخفضة.

ويشير إحصاء لرويترز استند إلى بيانات الصحة العامة إلى أن متوسط الإصابات بكوفيد-19 بلغ في ثلاثة أيام على التوالي مئة ألف إصابة على مستوى البلاد بزيادة نسبتها 35 في المئة خلال الأسبوع المنصرم.

وسجلت ولايات لويزيانا وفلوريدا وآركنسو أكبر عدد من الإصابات.

وارتفع معدل دخول المستشفيات لتلقي العلاج من آثار كورونا 40 في المئة. وسجلت الوفيات زيادة نسبتها 18 في المئة في الأسبوع المنصرم.
