باول: لا نتوقع أن نرى نهاية لكوفيد-19 في الأجل القريب

(رويترز) – قال رئيس مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي جيروم باول يوم الأربعاء إنه لا يرى نهاية في الأجل القريب لجائحة كوفيد-19 وإن ذلك يجعل من الصعب على البنك المركزي الأمريكي تقييم سوق الوظائف في مثل هذه البيئة.

وأبلغ باول مؤتمرا صحفيا بعد اختتام أحدث اجتماع للجنة السياسة النقدية بمجلس الاحتياطي أنه إذا أمكن السيطرة على الجائحة، عندئذ فإن صانعي السياسة سيكون لديهم فكرة أفضل بشأن طبيعة سوق العمل، لكن “ذلك لن يأتي في أي وقت قريب.”
