الديمقراطيون بمجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي يبدأون مناقشة خطة ميزانية بقيمة 3.5 تريليون دولار

واشنطن (رويترز) – صوت مجلس الشيوخ بأغلبية 50 مقابل 49 صوتا لفتح نقاش حول خطة ميزانية تاريخية تسمح بإنفاق 3.5 تريليون على البرامج الاجتماعية وتغير المناخ.

وصًوت جميع الديمقراطيين البالغ عددهم 48 ومستقلان تحالفا معهم بالموافقة. ولم يصوت أي من الجمهوريين لصالح هذا الإجراء الذي يهدف الديمقراطيون إلى تمريره لدون دعمهم.

كانت نائبة الرئيس كاميلا هاريس (NYSE:) حاضرة في المجلس للإدلاء بصوتها عند الحاجة، لكن صوتها لم يكن ضروريا بسبب عدم تصويت جميع الأعضاء الجمهوريين الخمسين.
