أمريكا تسجل أول إصابات لغزلان بكوفيد-19 في العالم

شيكاجو (رويترز) – قالت الحكومة الأمريكية يوم الجمعة إنها سجلت أول إصابات في العالم لغزلان بكوفيد-19 ليضاف الغزال إلى قائمة الحيوانات التي ثبتت إيجابية إصابتها بالمرض.

وجاء في بيان أن وزارة الزراعة الأمريكية سجلت الإصابات بفيروس (سارس-كوف-2) الذي يسبب كوفيد-19 في الغزال البري الأبيض الذيل في ولاية أوهايو.

وقالت ليندساي كول المتحدثة باسم وزارة الزراعة الأمريكية في رسالة بالبريد الإلكتروني لرويترز “لا نعرف كيف تعرضت الغزلان لسارس-كوف-2… من الممكن أنها تعرضت له من خلال البشر أو البيئة أو غزلان أخرى أو حيوانات أخرى”.

وفي السابق سجلت وزارة الزراعة الأمريكية إصابة حيوانات بكوفيد-19 من بينها كلاب وقطط ونمور وأسود وفهود جليدية وثعالب مائية وغوريلات وحيوان المينك.
